HumiGARD management believes that in order to have secure and full protection of goods from moisture damage throughout a long voyage a number of strict requirements must met by the absorbing substance. A high absorption capacity needs to be combined with low re-evaporation, good gel stability, resistance to freezing, environmental safety and other key qualities. Humico products have been developed and improved over a number of years and have been proven over a wide range of conditions and applications. The absorbing substance combines the moisture capturing ability of calcium chloride with a special formula gelling compound known as amylocomplex. This combination of compounds allows the tailoring of the product performance, including high absorption rate, low re-evaporation, no hardening, no drying up and no liquid.
